Skate Sharpener Training Available

12/03/2019, 8:00pm CST
By Shawn Demulling

We will have one person that will be teaching the correct way to sharpen skates and how to maintain the sharpener.

Because of the skate sharpener not being taken care of, we have decided to start locking the door again.  We would like at least one person from each level to learn how to sharpen skates.  If there is more than one, then yes, you are more than welcomed to learn how to do it.  If you think that you already know how to sharpen skates, you will still be required to get signed off.

We will have one person that will be teaching the correct way to sharpen skates and how to maintain the sharpener.  You will only be allowed into the sharpening room after he signs you off on it.  Hopefully this way, everyone will be trained in the same way and we won’t have to spend a lot of money to get the machine fixed again.

Please watch for a training schedule to come out in the next few days.

If you would like to be contacted to learn how or to be signed off for sharpening skates, please contact the rink manager or Ted Howard.

Thanks,
