Games, Scrimmages, & Tournament Guidelines

NRYHA will sponsor two (2) tournaments (1 home and 1 away), outside District 2 league play and WAHA playoffs for all traveling levels.

Squirt and U10 traveling teams may schedule additional tournaments*, provided schedules do not exceed 28 total games/scrimmages for the entire season (excluding WAHA playoffs).

Peewee and Bantam divisions may schedule additional scrimmages and tournaments* on an individual team basis that are not to exceed 35 total game\scrimmages (excluding WAHA playoffs).

* In order to participate in additional tournaments, the team must have a parent meeting to discuss the number of tournaments and the resulting cost per player. The team must agree by a minimum of 75% in order to attend additional tournaments. A series of two or more scrimmages requiring out of town hotel accommodations will be considered the same as a tournament. All tournaments, whether held in an indoor arena or played outside on natural ice, must be sanctioned by USA Hockey.
