HOCKEY DAY NEW RICHMOND!

Hockey Day New Richmond is a community-wide celebration of youth hockey, hometown pride, and the powerful connections built through the game. Hosted in New Richmond, Wisconsin, this special winter event brings together players, families, alumni, volunteers, and local supporters for a full day dedicated to the sport that means so much to our community.

This event marks the second annual Hockey Day New Richmond, and reflects the growth and excitement surrounding the day. In its inaugural year, Hockey Day New Richmond began as a small but meaningful celebration, featuring our Mite-level teams playing outdoor hockey in a classic, backyard-style setting. The success and support from our hockey families and community inspired us to expand the event for year two.

This year, Hockey Day New Richmond proudly includes upper-level youth and high school games, with matchups taking place inside the main rink, while our Mite-level teams will once again take the ice outdoors. This expanded format allows players at all levels to be part of the experience, honoring where the event began while showcasing the full development of our program.

Beyond the games, Hockey Day New Richmond is about community connection. The event offers opportunities to support the New Richmond Youth Hockey Association through fundraising initiatives, local business partnerships, apparel sales, and community engagement activities. Proceeds from the day help ensure continued access to quality coaching, ice time, and development opportunities for our athletes.

Most importantly, Hockey Day New Richmond reflects the values that define our hockey family—teamwork, resilience, inclusion, and support for one another. Whether you’re a current player, a former skater, a proud hockey parent, or a community member who simply loves the game, Hockey Day New Richmond is a celebration of tradition, growth, and community spirit.
