Coaches

If you have submitted a coaching application and have been selected to coach, you will need to complete the following steps.

USA Hockey coaching requirements

• Register as a member of USA Hockey (Every year)
• Complete the background screening (Every other year)
• Complete the USA Hockey SafeSport Training (Every year)
• Complete the Foundations of Player Development pre-requisite *Only done once per coaching career
• Complete the age-specific module(s) (Each module only needs to be completed once)
• Complete CEP Class: Coaching Education Program (CEP) Certification Clinic *Must be done by December 15th or you will be redlined and not allowed back on the ice for the remainder of the season
• Find, register and attend the required clinic. You can take clinics from April-December each season. Go to the USA Hockey - Learning Center to register for classes. CLASSES FILL UP FAST - DO NOT WAIT TO REGISTER!!
• Levels 1-3 (Each year)
• Level 4 (Good for 3 years - need to complete 5 CEU's every 3 years)
• Mite coaches only need to complete the 6U/8U Clinic (Good for 5 years)
• Complete the NRYHA online registration (Every year)
